About Riley J
Now where did this musical inspiration and drive come from? Riley J started performing onstage at the age of 12. Musical theater and choir is where she developed her vocal talent and solidified her love of performing. By the end of high school, Riley had performed the National Anthem at several MLB/NBA games, had lead roles in musical theater shows for crowds of 300-400 people, won several choral awards, and had helped launch an amateur recording and producing label, called One/Cent.
During her undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she was accepted into a premier A Cappella group, Tangled Up in Blue (TUIB). In TUIB, she arranged music for the group, frequently performed around Madison, became a music director, and eventually president. TUIB was offered the opportunity to perform a song at the school-wide commencement in May 2022 (40,000 people).”
